Useful information about attending camp
Excel is situated at St. George's School for Girls on Garscube Terrace, Roseburn. The camp is open from 8am – 6pm for busy parents and guardians travelling to and from work. The sports programme will run from 9am – 5pm and a sports coach will be outside the St. George's Centre to greet you in the morning. For new visitors to the venue, an Excel sports coach will be posted on Garscube Terrace at the entrance to St. George's to offer direction and advice on parking on Monday mornings. A half-day at Excel is 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm. Children attending for the morning are welcome to bring a packed lunch to sit and eat with their friends until being collected. Conversely, children booked into the afternoon session may start their day at 12.30 by bringing their lunch with them and sitting with friends to eat.
All children are assigned an activity group according to their age and a team for the week. Excel's sporting programme is both structured and varied with very little time to sit around other than to enjoy a well earned break for snacks and lunch. Throughout the week the children will be working in groups making their own film to be shown to the parents and guardians at about 4.45 on Friday prior to prize giving. Please feel free to come early and join in the fun at this Prize Giving & Oscars event.
