Pre-Season (touch) Rugby

By joining the skills and experience of Scottish Rugby Coaching at Murrayfield and Pre-Season Rugby training at Excel, children on this rugby camp participate in a programme of activities that is varied, fun and game orientated.

THIS PROGRAMME IS A WEEK LONG & STARTS AND ENDS EACH DAY AT ST. GEORGE'S. ANY MINI-BUS/COACH TRAVEL WILL BE ARRANGED BY EXCEL AND TAKES PLACE WITHIN THE DAY AT EXCEL.

The programme is very game orientated. Essential
techniques of passing, running, tackling and support will be
identified and worked on through game-based situations.
Decision-making and problem solving will be at the forefront
of the children’s development.

Each player will be analysed
and a report or action plan given regarding their level of
development after the three day camp at Murrayfield.
Focusing on playing techniques will increase the pace in
these sessions, and high levels of energy will produce a
powerful and memorable experience during the week.

Suitable for beginners, intermediate or the advanced player,
and essential training to support the player in preparation
for the new school term.

At the end of the week, family and friends are invited to
join in the fun of the children’s Oscars and Prize Giving
Ceremony.

Each day includes a minimum of 3 hours rugby coaching a day and children will join the Multi-Sports Programme for the remainder of the day.
