Dance, dance, dance with Popstars Academy at Excel with Nicky Pyrah, a Qualified and experienced Dance Teacher and Professional Dancer!

Two programmes will include choreographed dance routines, use of dance props and games, dance sequences, understanding of choreography and progression through our dance syllabus. The week will end with an informal performance where the students will present examples of the warm ups, techniques and choreographed dance they have learnt during their week.

Silver Group – for 5 - 8 year olds with a morning of sports and activities and an afternoon of dance based around films such as High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Mamma Mia and Grease.

Gold Group – for 9 - 14 year olds with a morning of dance tuition based around the Popstars Academy Dance styles i.e Hip Hop, Street, Disco & Modern and an afternoon of dance practice, sports and activities.

The content will also reflect the latest trends and influences from X-Factor, Britain’s Got Talent (Diversity last year) and emerging film and theatre – as appropriate.

Popstars Academy always pride themselves on being up-to-date with the latest chart tracks, new trends and influences from television, cinema and theatre, whilst not forgetting the children’s all time favourites.

Each participant will receive a dvd of their Friday dance show.
